Something weird popped up on my radar recently. Some of my coaching clients reported that hiring managers and recruiters are trying to get personal information out of them during job interviews! 🀯

They cleverly do this without asking outright, but instead by introducing themselves, saying how old they are, if they're married, and have children. Then they ask you to introduce yourself too, a trick to get you to respond and share that information.

Luckily, my clients didn't fall for it and stuck to professional boundaries, only providing relevant information about their education, skills, and experiences. If you find yourself being led down this path during an interview, DO NOT give them your details, as it's actually illegal for them to ask.
